The gentlemen of Mot’F have always been lovers of The Brooklyn Circus. Much to our surprise; they released a not so conventional fashion spread for a menswear brand which featured an all woman cast. The title of the spread is “The Beautiful Struggle” which was shot by photographer Josh Farria. The pictorial paid homage to women who have been influential and supportive to The BKc aesthetic.

Phony Ppl is a collective group of young musicians from Brooklyn, New York. I had the opportunity to see these brothers perform live when they opened for Theophilus London during his Lovers Tour a few months back. They caught my attention immediately with their melodies and clever rhymes over jazz and r&b beats. It was refreshing to see this live music for me. Being a fan of my hometown heroes The Roots. Phony Ppl released their latest project Phonyland back in January of 2012 which definitely showcases the talent they all posses. Saad Moosajee, is a young talented British artist who just released his newest pieces of work ” Nature in Technicolor “. The self-taught artist who is a freelance illustrator and art director, has worked for numerous brands and charities over years that have used his unique abstract style. “Nature in Technicolor” is his personal visual interpretation on the wild kingdom with beautiful abstract color combinations of lions, owls, and cranes. Young 27 aka Asaad, is definitely an artist that is sure to make a lot of noise in this coming year. As an up and coming artist from Philadelphia, Asaad has been doing his thing for the past couple years. He’s been building up momentum as of lately by releasing three projects within four months. He just recently opened up for Schoolboy Q at the TLA and put on a great performance. With his latest project #White which dropped last month, is definitely a must listen with production by frequent collaborators Problem, Walt Fraze and Nascent & QB . I did have the opportuntiy to see Asaad perform live at the TLA when he open for Schoolboy Q and Asaad just released an ill video of his performance of “Have Fun” which was shot by Brainbandits .
